Governance Structure
The Northwest Institute of Research, incorporated in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) organization, currently has a seven member Board of Directors.  Click here for the BOD list.

Our bylaws were updated in 2007, when NWIR was reconstituted to administer the NW Regional Key. At this point in time, NWIR established a new board and mission statement for the organization. The By-laws were updated in 2014 to reflect other governance changes.   Click here for the NWIR By-laws. NWIR’s Board of Directors meetings are held three times a year, in February, June and October of each year.

Our current organizational structure consists of management and support personnel who also serve in similar capacities to NWIR’s affiliated organization, KeyStone Research Corporation (see Other NWIR personnel are dedicated to the Early Learning Resource Center, the the hub of child care information in your area funded through the Office of Child Development and Early Learning at the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Department of Education (see
